M12
LRV (Warthog)
Crew: 1-3
Weight: 3.25 tons
Armament: One Light Anti-Aircraft Gun (LAAG)
The M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle, or LRV, is the
standard vehicle of the UNSC armed forces. It is fast
and maneuverable, but prone to rollovers during hard
cornering. A three-barreled, 12.7 millimeter LAAG
machine gun is mounted in the back. An armed passenger
significantly increases the vehicle's anti-infantry
capability.

M808
Scorpion Main Battle Tank (MBT)
Crew: 2 (or 1 cyborg)
Weight: 66 tons
Main Gun: 90mm HV (High Velocity)
Secondary/Coaxial gun: 7.62mm AP-T (Armor Piercing,
Tracer)
The
Scorpion Main Battle Tank is primarily an anti-vehicle
platform, but it also has very high anti-infantry
capabilities. Its ceramic-titanium armor makes it
nearly invulnerable to small arms fire, but its deep
dead-zone, or the area within which fire from the
tank's guns cannot hit targets, puts it at risk from
enemy anti-tank infantry. Up to four soldiers may ride
on (and fire from) the Scorpion's track pods. Riding
on a tank is very hazardous and should be done only
when the advantages outweigh the risks.

Covenant
Ghost Hovercraft
Crew: 1
Weight: 3.25 tons
Armament: Two Plasma Cannons (100-250 kW range)
The
Ghost is the Covenant's standard reconnaissance and
rapid attack vehicle. It is equipped with two of what
are now accepted as the standard light vehicle mounted
weapons: a directed energy weapon capable of producing
a bolt of superheated plasma in the 100-250 kilowatt
range. While the vehicle is fast and maneuverable, the
driver is virtually unprotected. Pistol or sniper
rifle fire is the preferred method of ridding the
Ghost of its pilot with minimum damage to the vehicle.

Covenant
Banshee Flyer
Crew: 1
Weight: 2.25 tons
Armament: Two Plasma Cannons (100-250 kW range)
Secondary Weapon: Two Fuel Rod Cannons
The
Banshee is the Covenant's standard ground assault
aircraft. It is very fast, extremely maneuverable and
capable of hovering. It has two weapon pods mounted to
either side of the fuselage. Both of these pods
contain a light plasma cannon and a fuel rod cannon.
Though small arms fire may disable or disrupt the
pilot, only heavy weapons are capable of inflicting
damage or destroying the vehicle. The Banshee is most
easily dealt with by launching a single rocket toward
it as it faces you for an attack run. However, be
cautious if you utilize this method; the wreckage of
the Banshee can drop onto you, killing you.

UNSC
Pelican-class Dropship
Crew: 2 (plus up to 12
passengers)
Weight: 70 tons
Armament: Two 70mm Heavy Chainguns
Secondary Weapon: Two missile pods, variable type
The
Pelican is the standard troop transport of the UNSC
armed forces. It is extremely versatile, with room for
up to 12 troops and a Warthog LRV slung under the
tail. Its engine configuration gives the pilot precise
control over the craft's maneuvering; it is capable of
VTOL, as well as rotating in place. The Pelican is
also capable of space flight. The Pelican's armament
consists of two 70mm heavy chainguns mounted on the
wings and two missile pods of varying type and size.
Most of the Pelicans assigned to the Pillar of
Autumn have consumed their ammunition supply, and
extra ammunition aboard the Autumn was
destroyed in the crash.
The Master Chief does not drive this vehicle ingame.

Covenant
Wraith Mortar Tank
Crew: Unknown
Weight: Unknown
Armament: One Plasma Mortar Cannon
The
Wraith is the premier Covenant assault tank. It
utilizes an engine configuration similar to the Ghost,
although on a larger scale; this makes the Wraith fast
and maneuverable. Its mortar blasts arc somewhat
slowly, making them easy to dodge; however, the damage
will splash a fair distance. Heavy armor makes the
Wraith a difficult enemy to contend with, as it takes
several rocket blasts to destroy it. Also, the Wraith
utilizes a unique wraparound hologram control system,
allowing the pilot to remain totally enclosed while
having a near-perfect view of the battlefield.
Underestimating the Wraith is a deadly mistake; take
caution when dealing with it.
The Master Chief does not drive this vehicle ingame.

Covenant
Dropship
Crew: Approx. 13
Weight: Unknown
Armament: One Plasma Beam Cannon (Shade-class)
Very
little is known about the Covenant dropship, other
than that it is the Covenant's preferred method of
dropping off reinforcements. Its twin hulls each
contain six crew pods capable of supporting an Elite,
a Jackal or a Grunt; it is unknown whether a Hunter
will fit in one of the slots. A plasma force-field web
suspended between the hulls gives the dropship the
ability to carry two small vehicles (Ghosts, Banshees
or a combination of the two) or one Wraith tank. The
standard armament for Covenant dropships is one plasma
cannon identical to the type used in the Shade
stationary gun. Covenant dropships cannot be destroyed
by any weapon in the Master Chief's arsenal.
The Master Chief does not drive this vehicle ingame.

UNSC
Pillar of Autumn, Halcyon-class
Crew: 2000 (Nominal)
Length: 3.1 kilometers
Armament: One Magnetic Acceleration Cannon
(Tri-Charge)
Secondary Weapon: Archer Missile Racks (56)
Tertiary (Defensive) Weapon: Multiple .50 cal MLA
Chainguns
The
UNSC Pillar of Autumn is a Halcyon-class
cruiser 43 years of age. It rolled out of spacedock at
the Reyes-McLees shipyards over Mars in 2509. The
Halcyon-class ships have the distinction of being the
smallest ships in the fleet to bear the Cruiser
designation. Most operational Halcyons have been
retired due to their being overmassed and too costly.
They feature a special honeycomb bracing structural
design that makes them virtually indestructible. The Pillar
of Autumn was pulled from storage and refitted
with a single MAC cannon capable of firing a
three-shot burst on a single charge; an experimental
three-cell fusion reactor; and additional missile
tubes and armor. It was assigned to Capt. Jacob Keyes
for a special mission involving the Spartan
super-soldiers (see Story
for details). Due to damage sustained at the Battle of
Reach, the Pillar of Autumn was abandoned on
Halo and later destroyed when its fusion generators
were destabilized in order to destroy Halo.

Covenant
CCS Truth and Reconciliation
Crew: Unknown
Length: Approx. 2 kilometers
Armament: Guided Plasma Torpedoes
Secondary Weapon: Pulse Lasers
The
Truth and Reconciliation is a Covenant
battlecruiser, CCS class. It appears to be the command
vessel over the eight other Covenant ships at Halo,
and is equipped with powerful plasma torpedoes, as
well as pulse lasers which are capable of destroying
incoming missiles; however, it refrained from using
any of these weapons in the battle over Halo, possibly
to avoid damage to Halo itself. The Truth and
Reconciliation was attacked by a group of Marines,
accompanied by the Master Chief, in order to rescue
Captain Keyes. It was later taken over twice: the
first time by the Flood, who were later driven off by
the Covenant; and the second time by the Marines in an
attempt to fly it off Halo. The Marine XO, Lieutenant
McKay, later destroyed the control relays in an
attempt to keep the Flood from escaping Halo, causing
the ship to be destroyed.
