Introduction
|
|
This
section, too, is horribly incomplete, but I will work
on it more as time goes on. Keep checking back. Wanna
sumbit a tip? Email
me or
send me a PM on the Forerunners forums; my name there,
as here, is Silent Thunder.

Tip #01: Elites, Grenades and
Steep Cliffs
|
|
Here's
an amusing trick that I have used with impressive
results. Keep an eye out for Elites standing by steep
cliffs. Elites will dodge any grenade thrown at them;
they will not jump back, but they dive off to the
side. Maneuver around the Elite so that both he and
you are standing next to the ledge, and make sure he
is facing you before throwing a grenade. The Elite
will dodge the grenade-- often jumping off the cliff
to his death. This works especially well on the final
bridge of AotCR, when an Elite is hiding behind a rock
ready to ambush you; just chuck a grenade as he pops
out.

Tip #02: Cap-a-Jackal (from afar!)
This one works especially well on Silent Cartographer
after you come out from the room with the invisible
Elites. Look over the cliff; you will see a number of
Jackals who aren't paying attention. You should have a
pistol and a plasma pistol. Zoom in on a Jackal with a
pistol, but do not fire. Switch to your plasma pistol
instead and without moving your aim, fire an
overcharged bolt at the Jackal. As it is traveling,
switch back to your pistol, zoom in, and fire a couple
of times as the overcharged shot hits. Apply
repeated doses until all Jackals are dead.
