Introduction

This
was another section that never got nearly the
attention that it deserved. I mean, all I ever put
here was a preview. There's a lot more to Halo 2 than
just what's in the preview. Therefore, I will be
putting much more content here soon. Expect galleries,
story speculation and more. But for now, enjoy this
extremely hyped-up preview.

Halo 2: Preview
|
|
Halo
2, the sequel to 2001's award-winning Halo, is planned
for release in late 1st- or early 2nd-quarter 2004.
Featuring support for Xbox Live internet play for up
to 16 players, Halo 2's multiplayer promises to build
on the spectacular gaming experience of the original.
A reengineered version of the Halo engine will deliver
improved graphics over the already-astonishing visuals
of the original. Most notably, the lighting and
shadows will be tremendously improved. As in Halo,
sound will support 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
Music, composed by Marty O'Donnell, will be fully
orchestrated and based on themes found in the original
game. Enhanced AI and fully destructible environments
will improve gameplay. Halo 2 will also feature a
brand-new story, sure to keep the attention of fans,
involving the return of the Master Chief to a war-torn
Earth. In the words of the title blurb on the preview
in Official Xbox Magazine, Halo 2 will be the
"Best. Game. EVER." Few doubt that this is
the truth.
