How
do I know if Hyperconnections has a local access number in my
area? We have access numbers
in almost every area of the United States.
Visit our list of access numbers
on our website and make sure we have a number in your area. If your city is not listed, search for other
access numbers in other nearby cities which are local phone calls
for you. Since we cannot be responsible if you dial into a long
distance number by mistake, please verify with your local phone
company if you are concerned that a number listed may not be local
to you. Also, if we do not have a local number in your
area, please email us
at customerservice@hypercon.net
and we will try to add one local
to you.
Will I still be able to send e-mail to my friends and family
who use AOL, MSN or Yahoo? Yes, you
will be able to send e-mail messages to any Internet user. With
Hyperconnections, you will be able to send and receive e-mail
to and from anyone - regardless of their e-mail address. For example,
if you have a friend at "friend@aol.com," just log on
to Hyperconnections, write an e-mail message, and send it to your
friend at his or her Internet e-mail address. This is also true
for any other e-mail address, such as "friend@msn.com"
or "friend@yahoo.com."
Will I still be able to send instant messages to my friends on AOL, MSN,
or Yahoo? Yes. You can download the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) for free. Once installed, you can send instant messages
to your friends on your AOL Buddy List. You can also download
MSN Messenger Service
and Yahoo!
Messenger for free to send instant messages to anyone who
has an MSN Hotmail e-mail address, such as "friend@hotmail.com"
or "friend@msn.com," or a Yahoo! account name.
How
do you provide Internet service at less than half of many of your
competitors? Don’t they
say, “You get what you pay for?” Yes and No. At Hyperconnections,
you get more than you pay for. There are Internet providers who try to give
you service free or cheaper than they can afford. They either end up charging you later, or they go out of business. Hyperconnections still makes a minimum 10%
gross margin on all services.
We specialize in dial up Internet access with our software
HY•C version 11.0, and we do not offer DSL, Cable or T1 Internet
access. Being the best at what we do allows us to streamline our
service and keep our costs low. We pass the savings on to you.
How
do I sign-up? Sign-up online
now. We currently accept
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Annual prepaid
accounts can pay via check or money order. (Soon, online checks,
EFT) To sign-up over the phone call (888) 817-8323.
How
long before I can get online after signing up? Usually
you can get online immediately.
Sometimes due to higher system load, it may take up to
5 minutes. You will have the option of adding your additional
email addresses or email aliases through the “My Account” link
on the Hyperconnections website.
You can also login to your web space and upload your personal
pages.
What are
your payment options? You can pay by credit card.
(We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express
- Soon, online checks, EFT) Annual prepaid accounts can pay via
check or money order. We do not print invoices and send them in
the postal mail since it would only add the unnecessary cost of
providing the service. We
do send you an email invoice when we charge your account.
If you would like a printed invoice on a monthly basis,
we can do so for an additional $4.00/month.

if I need help with the service? Hyperconnections offers toll free 24/7 technical
support. Please visit our “Customer Service” section to look at

Do
I need special software to use Hyperconnections?
No. We require no special
software. We do recommend
that you download Hyperconnection’s “Connection Magic”, HY•C version
11.0, which will configure all of your settings and help you seamlessly
connect through us. You can still connect to your other ISP’s too,
if necessary. With HY•C
version 11.0, the most novice Internet users can get online by
themselves. If your computer has a problem connecting,
the software will also make it easier for our support staff to
help you correct the problem.
Can I use my account while traveling? Yes, all over the United
States. Visit our list
of access numbers
on our website and make sure we have a number in the area you
are traveling to before you leave.
If you use the HY•C version 11.0 software all of the dial up
numbers in the nation will be installed for you.
What
do I do if I've forgotten my password? If
you can't remember your password, please click on this link and

Can I access your Service any time of the day?
Yes, the network should be accessible 24hrs per day, 365 days
per year.
Does Hyperconnections put ads or banners on your computer? No. Some places you may browse to on the Internet
could sell and present ads to you, but they are not affiliated
with Hyperconnections. If
you use the HY•C version 11.0 software, the popup blocking software
will stop almost all of the annoying advertisements you might
see when normally surfing the Internet. Hyperconnections does not sell advertising,
customer information or purposely provide the capability to advertise
to our customer base.
Does
Hyperconnections offer a free "Trial" period? Hyperconnections does not provide a trial period,
however we also do not require a commitment.
What
service plans do you have for web hosting? Take a look at the hosting plans of our sister company Instaburst Hosting.
Can I use your service on more than one PC? Yes. You
can place your access and email configurations on multiple computers.
Keep in mind that only one can access our network at a time. If you want to have more than one computer
online at the same time, you will need to configure dial up networking
to do so or use a router in front of your computers.
